Our pelvic floor specialists treat pelvic floor dysfunction in both women and men, including urinary symptoms (incontinence, urgency, frequency, recurring UTIs), pelvic pain, pain with sex and bowel dysfunction. 

What Makes Us Different

We are not your average pelvic floor therapy clinic! Our team of pelvic floor physical and occupational therapists are experts in pelvic floor care. When you come into our office, you will receive your therapist’s undivided attention for your full 60-minute session in a private treatment room. By providing one-on-one treatment, we can get to the "why" of your symptoms and help you return to the activities you love. 

We provide so much more than kegels because kegels are not always the answer! Depending on your needs, we offer a combination of hands-on pelvic floor therapy treatment, functional movement exercises and Pilates. We recognize that every body is unique, which is why our treatment plans are individualized, too.

At ATL Pelvic Health, we offer specialized Pilates and small group Reformer Pilates classes tailored for pregnancy and postpartum, focusing on safe, supportive movement. These sessions help strengthen core stability, alleviate common discomforts, and promote recovery in a way that respects your body’s unique journey. Our expert instructors guide you through exercises to help you feel empowered and prepared, whether you're navigating pregnancy or rebuilding strength postpartum.

Pelvic Pain + Pain with Sexual Activity

Sexual activity should be pleasurable, not painful. From vaginismus to painful sex after having a baby to changes following menopause, pelvic pain or pain during intercourse can arise during any stage of life. We will work with you to identify the root cause and help you find long-term relief from your symptoms.

Bowel Health + Gut Function

Are you struggling to have regular bowel movements? Often, we don't pay attention to our bowel movements until we are having trouble with them. Constipation is a common side-effect of pregnancy postpartum—although it can occur at other times, too. Through physical therapy and holistic suggestions, we will help you find a solution to your bowel difficulties. 

Low Back Pain + Hip Pain

If your chronic low back or hip pain didn’t improve through traditional physical therapy, that may be because you’re targeting the wrong area: Pelvic floor muscles are integral parts of our deep core, which gives stability to our spine and pelvis. By assessing your pelvic floor muscles, we may be able to get to the root of ongoing pain in your back or hips. 

Prenatal + Postpartum Care

Whether you are preparing to get pregnant, are currently expecting or recently welcomed a baby, we are here for you. The fact is the human body changes in dramatic (yet amazing!) ways during and after pregnancy. We can help optimize your pelvic health, improve low back, alleviate hip or pubic symphysis pain during pregnancy, prepare you for vaginal or cesarean delivery and empower you for your postpartum recovery. 

Diastasis Recti + Core Weakness

Diastasis Recti + Core Weakness

The majority of moms experience Diastasis Recti—a separation of the abdominal wall—at some point during or after pregnancy. This can result in core weakness, stress incontinence, pain during sex or other side effects. The good news is that physical therapy is highly effective! We combine our pelvic floor therapy knowledge with our Pilates training to build a program to help you restore your core strength.

Urinary Symptoms

No one has time for bathroom breaks every 30 minutes. If you feel like your bladder is always full or you are always on high alert for leaks (sneezing shouldn’t be this scary!), we want to work with you to improve your bladder health. By addressing the root problem and identifying triggers, we can help you live without urinary urgency, frequency, leakage, recurrent UTIs or an overactive bladder.

(The answer to that last question is “yes!”)

  • At our foundation, ATL Pelvic Health is a practice that puts the “care” in “health care.” With our one-on-one appointments for full 60 minute sessions, you can be assured we are focused entirely on your treatment. You will always be with your pelvic floor therapist for your entire session in a private treatment room. You will never be stuck in a large gym with other people being managed by one therapist. We believe in individualized care to get you back to the activities you love. 

    We also believe in giving power back to our clients by giving every individual the tools, resources and confidence to be an active participant in their therapy treatment. Pelvic floor therapy is much more than biofeedback and kegels. We will make sure you get the most out of every treatment session. 

    Our treatment model itself is also unique: Our pelvic floor therapists use hands-on methods, which can help with joints, muscles  and more. In combination with functional movement exercises and Pilates this approach helps us holistically treat and heal pelvic floor dysfunction.


  • At ATL Pelvic Health, we understand that not all pelvic floor therapy is the same. Many of our patients have seen other therapists before getting to the root cause of their symptoms with us. Our approach is unique because we customize every treatment plan to fit your specific needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

    We believe in getting to the root of your issue, not just addressing symptoms or providing short-term fixes. By looking at your body from the head to the toes and also doing an external and internal assessment of your pelvic floor, we make sure to have a comprehensive understanding of what's really going on. Many of our patients have previously received treatments like biofeedback, Kegels, or worked with orthopedic specialists who may not have focused on the internal pelvic floor. At ATL Pelvic Health, we know that integrating both aspects is crucial to achieving your goals and symptom relief.


  • When you book a session, we are setting aside a full 60 minutes for you to have the one-on-one attention from a physical or occupational pelvic floor therapist. 

    Once you arrive at ATL Pelvic Health, our team will welcome you, and you'll head into a private treatment room with your pelvic floor therapist. This is your time to share your symptoms, goals and progress. 

    Your therapist will then do an assessment from your head to your toes, including looking at your pelvic floor both externally and/or internally (with your consent, of course!). Our goal is to get you seeing improvements in your symptoms right away, so you will always be given things to work on at home between your sessions.

    Before your hour-long session is over, your therapist will explain their findings and work with you to create a personalized plan that fits your lifestyle. We're here to help you every step of the way.


  • No! Every hour-long session at ATL Pelvic Health is reserved for you and your therapist. We believe you deserve dedicated time from a specialized pelvic floor therapist to help you maximize your time at each visit to reach your goals.

  • The short answer: No. From a clinical standpoint, both internal and external assessments provide useful information for pelvic floor therapy. However, as people, we recognize that physical assessments can provoke anxiety in some cases. For that reason, we only conduct these assessments with your consent. 

    Internal assessment of the pelvic floor muscles may be done throughout the course of your treatment to help provide direction to your plan; however, these are not always necessary.. And, again, any decisions regarding your body (including internal assessments) are up to you and only done with your consent.


  • Yes! At ATL Pelvic Health, we have a pregnancy specific program where we support women during each stage of pregnancy. You don’t have to wait until you are postpartum to benefit from pelvic floor therapy. Our program supports your body with strength and mobility exercises during each trimester as well as teaches you labor positions, how to push effectively for birth and sets you up for postpartum recovery.

    Whether you’re trying to conceive, currently pregnant, or postpartum, pelvic therapy can be incredibly beneficial.

    Our therapists are highly trained in prenatal and postnatal care and will tailor a plan to meet your unique needs at any stage of your journey.

  • Yes! We work extensively with pregnant and postpartum moms—and we get that bringing children (from newborns on up!) along can be necessary. After all, we never want the choice to be between child care or getting help for pelvic floor concerns. We are dedicated to making your session as effective as possible, even if your child is sleeping, feeding or anything in between.

    If you’re working around nap times or other schedule constraints, we do offer both 60- and 30-minute virtual sessions for follow-up appointments. For an additional fee, it is also possible to arrange for an in-home physical therapy session in the Atlanta area. Please contact us for more details!

  • As you might expect, the answer varies from person to person. The best thing to do is to start with an initial appointment so that we can perform an assessment and listen to your goals. From there, we will give you an action plan and next steps to resolve your symptoms. We not only want your symptoms to go away, but we want them to stay away! We will work with you closely every step of the way to make sure you have a good understanding of how many sessions to expect.
