If you’re in your second trimester or beyond and wondering how to best prepare yourself (and your partner) for labor, this class is for you.

This is a 2-hour, in-depth birth preparation session led by Dr. Katie Simmons, pelvic floor physical therapist and founder of ATL Pelvic Health. You’ll walk away with practical tools, hands-on strategies, and clear guidance to support a more empowered birth and smoother postpartum recovery.

You’ll Learn:

  • Introduction to pelvic floor anatomy + how it functions during birth

  • The best labor and delivery positions for progress, comfort, and pelvic space

  • How to effectively push (and what to avoid)

  • How and when to perform perineal massage to reduce risk and severity of tearing

  • Partner-friendly comfort techniques for labor support

  • Nervous system + breath strategies to stay calm and connected

  • What your pelvic floor actually needs during birth (hint: not just kegels)

  • How to prepare your body to reduce common postpartum pelvic floor challenges
